Here at Kent Community Foundation, we work with hundreds of local charities supporting children and young people facing enormous challenges. Through the Ward & Partners Children’s Awards, we are very privileged to hear some extraordinary stories and proud to be involved in recognising our county’s amazingly brave children. We are so grateful to Ward & Partners for the generosity and commitment involved in putting this event on year after year. It’s a really uplifting and enjoyable occasion for the award winners and their families.

The process is really simple – if you have a friend, family member, neighbour, patient or client who you feel deserves an award, you can fill in a form on the KM website to nominate them.

The categories open for nomination are:

Triumph over adversity

For children with severe disabilities and illnesses who are working to overcome them. Three age groups: 0-5, 6-11, 12-16

Exceptional Young Carer

For young carers who care for other family members

Going for Gold

For achievement in sports, music, visual and performing arts despite disability

Courageous Family

For families who have coped with severe illness or disability

Young Fundraiser

For the child or children who have raised funds for charity

Outstanding Charity

Rewarding charitable and voluntary groups who support children who face challenges in life

Brave and Courageous

For children who have shown incredible bravery and resourcefulness when faced with an emergency or frightening situation

You have until 20th July 2018 to make your nominations!

Once the nomination deadline has passed, the panel will choose the winners that will be invited to a special Award Ceremony in November. This is always a very special night for the winners and their families, so if you know a child who deserves to be celebrated nominate them now

MASSIVE 'thank you ' to everyone at Kent Community Foundation. Your funding support is HUGELY appreciated and has enabled us to get into the heart of local communities with REAL, affordable, healthy and tasty food that does so much more than feed people.
