General Giving

Kent Community Foundation has been created by local people, to support local charities and community groups in Kent and Medway. If you have been inspired by our work, but don’t feel you want to set up a Named Fund, here are some ways you can get involved and help us to change people’s lives:

General Donation

Kent Grassroots Fund

Supporting Elderly and Vulnerable Adults

You can of course just make a straightforward donation to Kent Community Foundation.

This can be a general donation to support our core work strengthening communities, encouraging local charitable giving and improving the lives of disadvantaged people in Kent and Medway.

Or you could choose to make a donation to one of our two themed funds, which both offer a way for donors to pool their donations to maximise impact.

This fund supports local community projects with a particular focus on young people.

Addressing a genuine local need and demonstrating a positive impact in the community.

For example, the Motocross Challenge in Dover re-engages youngsters at risk and supports them back into education.

30% of Kent’s population will be over 60 by 2026. People aged 85 and over are the fastest growing age group across the population.

Kent Community Foundation's themed programme support's local projects that address the challenges faced by elderly and other vulnerable adults. These projects help people to stay well, healthy, independent and most importantly, combat social isolation.
