Fund for the Environment

Fund for the Environment

Help us make Kent and Medway a better place to live now and for the future

Our new Fund for the Environment brings together individuals and companies who are interested in a better future for all across Kent and Medway.

We believe that local community action can be at the heart of delivering valuable solutions which contribute to global strategies from the Government and United Nations aiming to lessen our impact on the environment – and importantly, also offer benefits that local people can reap in our own county.

In partnership with our donors and the local voluntary and community sector, our ‘Fund for the Environment’ will embody the ‘think global, act local’ sentiment and facilitate dynamic change by supporting projects which enrich nature, connect people with green spaces and enable more sustainable and healthier ways of living in Kent and Medway.

How you can donate:

  • £1,000 x 12 monthly payments = £12,000 plus gift aid if eligible = £12,000 + 25% = £15,000 donated in one year

Gift Aid your donation

What do you have to do?

Confirm whether or not you are a UK taxpayer. Please note that Gift Aid can only be reclaimed on donations made by individuals who pay UK income or capital gains tax at a rate at least equal to the amount reclaimed on their donations in the current tax year.

Download, fill in and send us the Gift Aid Form that gives us permission to claim it.

Where your donations go

No Walls Gardens CIC - community garden, volunteers

No Walls Gardens CIC

The organisation has received various grants from KCF for their gardening and landscaping projects designed to engage with the local community. To help people away from worklessness, reoffending or relapsing; to give them valuable skills; to encourage people to take pride in their environment and make Northfleet a nicer place to live.

The Limes Community Garden - wildlife pond

The Limes Community Garden

The charity in The Limes in Ashford transformed a wasteland into a community garden for the local residents. Funding allowed them to install wheelchair accessible pathways, eight planters made from upcycled pallets and a wildlife pond.

The Friends of the Westbrook & Stonebridge Pond - volunteers in the stream

Friends of Westbrook & Stonebridge Pond

The organisation received funding to improve the Westbrook in Faversham as a rare chalk stream habitat.  This included the installation of chestnut/hazel faggot bundles, secured with chestnut stakes and wired in place and planting of native species along the banks - creating a more diverse and dynamic stream environment to benefit local people and wildlife.
