Apply for Grants and Loans
... for Grants
Kent Community Foundation awards grants to groups and individuals in Kent and Medway, with an aim to build strong and vibrant communities throughout the county. Our role as a Community Foundation is to match applications from the community to our donors’ interests.
The majority of our grant-making is to groups, in particular small community and voluntary groups that are charitable in purpose and are working for the benefit of people in Kent and Medway. You do not have to be a registered charity to apply for a grant; however the work you ask us to support must be legally charitable and your group must be constituted. Some of our funds also offer support to Individuals but this is restricted to very specific situations.
Before applying, be sure to read the priorities in our latest Funding Round. If you have a project that meets any of these priorities we welcome you to continue to apply online for a grant.
... for a Loan
Established with Kent County Council, The Kent Big Society Fund has been set up to provide loan financing. The loans are to be used to support existing and newly created social enterprises that benefit the local community and enhance the economic, social and environmental vibrancy of Kent. Primarily a loan fund, there is some scope for an element of grant funding.
The aim of the Fund is to spread the culture of social enterprise and break down the barriers which prevent enterprising social businesses from accessing finance.
