... for Grants

Kent Community Foundation awards grants to groups and individuals in Kent and Medway, with an aim to build strong and vibrant communities throughout the county. Our role as a Community Foundation is to match applications from the community to our donors’ interests.

The majority of our grant-making is to groups, in particular small community and voluntary groups that are charitable in purpose and are working for the benefit of people in Kent and Medway. You do not have to be a registered charity to apply for a grant; however the work you ask us to support must be legally charitable and your group must be constituted. Some of our funding supports to Individuals but this is restricted to very specific situations.

Before you apply for funding, be sure to read the priorities in our latest Funding Round. If you have a project that meets any of these priorities we welcome you to continue to apply for a grant online.

... for a Loan

Charities and social enterprises in Kent can now benefit from a fantastic boost to the Kent Social Enterprise Loan Fund (KSELF), which is delivered by Kent Community Foundation thanks to The Growth Fund, managed by Access - The Foundation for Social Investment and funded by Big Lottery Fund and Big Society Capital.

Thanks to this support we can now offer a higher level of grant as part of the KSELF, which was originally established with funding from Kent County Council in 2012. Combining grants with loans, KSELF now offers bespoke funding of between £10,000 and £100,000 to groups and encourages taking a more enterprising approach to achieving positive change in our communities.
